Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain effective communication channels within the team, within the department, and other internal departments and where necessary, with external contacts



• Ensure that the team members are aware of the standard communication channels available to them



• Confidently use whatever means of communication is appropriate to the situation, face to face, telephone, written or email



• Maintain the highest level of quality achievable for all outputs from the department, outputs including all the key areas of responsibility



• Aim to eliminate the 'cost of failures' and maximise the Value added by the team to the business



• Achieve levels of quality production output, On Time In Full, as per customer requirements and in compliance with the production programme



• Communicate as necessary with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure that all the team are aware of particular customer requirements



• Contribute as appropriate to the development of new products and processes, also to the development of new or improved processes for the manufacture or assembly or distribution of existing products



• Manage the team using a style which is appropriate to the overall culture of the business



• Work as a 'player manager' within the team, maintaining a positive attitude and developing a relationship with the team which is based on mutual trust and respect



• Manage the training and development of the team members to meet the needs of the business

Requirements:

• Apprentice trained (Carpentry / CNC Machines)



• Degree or equivalent qualification



• Previous experience on a similar position



• Production techniques



• Attention to detail



• Quality awareness



• Leadership skills



• English speaking
